I LOVE THE HOLIDAYS
During my everyday life I don't get enough time to spend with the family. I really cherish the moments that we all come together for special events. The holiday season is a big deal for me. Being the youngest in the family, I feel it's really important to keep a steady tradition going so our family can stay close. I am the youngest by many years so I’m always thankful whenever I’m given the chance to spend quality time with my older brothers and sisters. My family has a great sense of humor, and I always enjoy their company. The holidays are a time where families can spend without the worries of everyday life getting in the way. I am thankful for the long break, and truly took advantage of all the time. I have young nieces and nephews growing up and it's very important for them to have the same traditions in their lives that I've been able to have. My family is very close knit, and I don't think it would be that way if it weren't for the fact that we always come together during the holidays. It can be easy sometimes for people to take their families for granted, so during the holidays I think everyone should spend time with the people they consider to be family members, because you never know when those days will be over.

- Dejanae's Voice
- Welcome to my blog. If you havn't already guessed my name is Dejanae. I am a college student at Year Up Bay Area, studying Buisness Communications and IT Technology. I enjoy reading, writing, social networking, shopping, eating out, and USING MY IMAGINATION. This is my first time blogging. I am finding that I actually enjoy it quite a bit. I have my instructor to thank for my newfound interest. He decided it would be good practice for our class to become familiar with every aspect of communicating in corparate america. Sounds a little boring right? At least that's what I thought at first,it wasn't until I realized we would be able to share our thoughts, views, and experiences using topic based discussions, and creative writng skills. Anyways, back to telling you about myself. I consider myself to be outgoing, intelligent, silly, happy, and insightful. I love people, watching people, talking to people, hearing other's stories. I live by the motto don't judge a book by it's cover. Long story short, I am an open minded, understanding, confident, young black women. I hope you enjoy hearing reading my thoughts!

Dejanae, this was a good read. Holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas are the most important when growing with family that you don't spend much time with. I glad you had a great Holiday season.
